MUTTUKADU: Dakshina Chitra, the heritage museum, is gearing up for its end-of-the-year celebrations, including festivals, workshops and exhibitions.

December 27- Jan 28: Village Festival: This month-long festival will showcase village performances of Therukoothu and other Tamil folk dances, Thira Poothan from Kerala, Pata Kunitha from Karnataka, and Dappu Nrityam from Andhra Pradesh.

Workshops:

Ceramic jewellery: December 16 and 23. Fees RS. 3,000. Contact: 98406 72154

Meenakari work: November 25 and 26. Fee Rs. 3,000

Soutache jewellery: December 23 and 24. Fee: Rs. 2,500

Soft stone jewellery: December 30. Fee: Rs. 1,500

For kids, there is a tie and dye workshop. December 23. Fee: Rs. 1,000.
