ISKCON temple’s Janmasthtami Puja

AKKARAI/SHOLINGANALLUR: Sri Krishna Janmashtami and Founder’s Vyasa Puja will be celebrated at the Akkarai ISKCON temple on August 15 and 16.

Highlights on August 15 include a vocal concert by Nithyashree Mahadevan and party, followed by a drama, “Ajamila” by Prabupada Theatres. Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, president of the Tamil Nadu BJP will be chief guest at the event.

Bhajan, aarti, and kirtan will continue on through to midnight.

Sri Krishna Yajna will be held on Sunday, August 13 from 3 pm to 5 pm and the Adivas ceremony will be held on August 14, from 6 pm onwards.

On August 16, the appearance day of Srila Prabhupada will be celebrated as Vyasa Puja with special pujas and prasadam from 10 am to 1 pm.
