ISKCON at beach on Sundays

Come Sunday, and beachgoers along the Akkarai Beach are treated to a live song and dance performance by devotees of ISKCON.

A group of singers and dancers go along the beach, singing and dancing to “Hare Rama Hare Krishna” on Sunday evenings. “It’s a way for us to spread our message of Krishna,” says a member of the group, adding that the group takes a different stretch of the beach every weekend.
