Bonsai group gives free workshops

Chennai bonsai

AKKARAI–Chennai Bonsai Exotica, a group of bonsai enthusiasts, will meet on May 7  as part of a free workshop series on the art of bonsai.

G. Raja of the group says that bonsai is a growing hobby in Chennai, and that there are several trees that grow well in Chennai that are suitable for bonsai. “You can pick up bonsai trees itself, or work with a small plant and create a bonsai,” he says, adding that this, and several other facets of the hobby will be discussed at the meet. Participants can purchase bonsai materials at the nursery itself.

The meeting will be held at 13 Degree North Nursery, Sparkling Sands Ave, Akkarai, Injambakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600119. For more information, email [email protected]
